Event #1: “The User Manual for our Minds and Lives”
We get a comprehensive instruction manual with every little toy — but none for our minds.
And yet, it is our mind that shapes our lives more than anything else, directly influencing everything: our emotions, happiness, satisfaction and health, all the way to our ability to craft and live a meaningful life.
In this talk, Lama Rangbar Nyimai Özer will draw from his 45+ years of experience in Tibetan Buddhism as well as his experience as a businessman and family man to present a penetrating perspective and applicable methods for modern people, regardless of their religion.
To successfully apply these methods doesn’t require you to escape your life or change your faith — it merely requires you to recognize the importance of knowing your own mind and working with it.
Talk will touch upon the following topics:
— How to properly wake up in the morning in order to cut through prevailing habitual distractions
— How to dispel the three stale airs in the body to activate the wisdom channels
— How to find one’s own true grounding within oneself and become authentic and fearless
— How to take control and develop one’s own agency
— How to use, integrate and heal our bodies
— And how to integrate all of this into our personal and professional lives
Event #2:“Foundations of the Path”
Many people today are drawn to some form of spirituality, feeling it to be a missing and important component of their lives.
As soon as we want to start, however, challenges emerge:
Too little information and too much. Conflicting and unclear instructions. Overhyped promises.
As a result, many people sincerely looking to spirituality for clarity and improvement in their lives often end up more confused instead, not knowing where to start, chasing one experience after another, and jumping from system to system with little actual impact on their daily lives.
That’s when people come to understand that information can only take you so far and often lacks substance in daily training — and when facing challenges. And that a structure, a somewhat consistent program and a guide are necessary.
To cut through these challenges and to present clear and firm foundations, Lama Rangbar Nyimai Özer will draw from his 45+ years of experience in Tibetan Buddhism to clearly explain:
— A mature approach to spirituality, without any push towards any particular tradition
— The difference between chasing experiences and pursuing understanding
— The distinction between an intellectual grasp and an actual understanding and realization
— The foundational blocks to start and develop one’s spiritual practice in daily life, without abandoning work or family
— And a practical exploration of meditation practice and method
