Healing

Having taught practitioners over the past 40 years, Lama Rangbar has expressed a great conviction that the way in which Vajrayana teachings are reaching westerners has not been sufficiently supported by body movements. To make matters more challenging, the tsa lung or yoga practices within the Nyingma are advanced practices typically reserved for those with a very strong practice foundation.

This yields some unwholesome results such as poor circulation, turbulent shallow meditations, health issues in general an unbalanced mind and retarded practice results. Most of these issues can be remedied by movement methods being taught by Lama Rangbar since 1982.

Lama Rangbar holds a lineage of Padmasambhava that reached Indonesia generations ago, complete with body postures, gentle warm up movements which includes strength and awareness building as well as healing techniques. Lama Rangbar has taught these movements called Tao Kung only privately until this year. These movements are especially formulated for those over 30 years of age but also suitable for practitioners of all ages.  Each of the six sections plus warmups are practiced at the pace of each individual.

Lama Rangbar and Tulku Rahula have now been teaching this movement system to students In the USA and of late internationally for the past two years.

Healing Team

As the new year is quickly emerging, Rinpoche has set the theme: Healing, as we ride into Year 2026. Rinpoche‘s students have begun to actualize this vision by requesting & studying the path of the Bodhisattva, particularly by engaging with healing practices in modern day professions aimed at tangibly & intangibly benefiting others.

The following students are currently under Rinpoche’s guidance:

Pema Siddhi

Pema is currently enrolled full-time in massage therapy school in New York. Prior to this Pema had been studying, practicing and treating using eastern-body massage techniques for three years. Following a vision of Lama Rangbar, the system of practices was named by Rinpoche: Ku Sum Reg Dröl: The system which “Liberates by the touch of the three kayas.(Wisdom gate).  The specific body postures are derived from Thailand, India & Tibet, while the meditational aspects of her practice are informed by Buddhist principles, which include Mantra,Visualization, and Prayer. Pema will combine her experience in both Eastern & Western schools as a ‘Licensed Massage Therapist’ after she graduates in the year of the Fire Sheep, 2027.

Rinchen Seldrön

Seldrön is currently teaching Yoga among the Hudson Valley & online communities. Seldron has held a personal practice of yoga for seven years. Due to Rinpoche’s guidance, Seldrön enrolled in a teacher training program. While training towards certification, she adopted Tao Kung body-movements, from the Bangau Putih (White Crane) system. In July 2025, Seldron completed teacher training with YogaFarm, Ithaca. Due to Seldron's request, Rinpoche then named her practice: the Clear Light System of Yoga. Seldrön is continuing to develop this system of movements & meditations, with aspirations to develop programs for marginalized communities.

Chökyi Tsomo

Chökyi studied Traditional Chinese medicine and Acupuncture at New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Long Island, NY.  In this coming year, she will be a board certified acupuncturist.
